I'm going PETA on you and my guilty pleasure

Is a female born to serve?? Why must we work, cook, give birth and bear the hassle of taking care of the household and the guy who made you join the typical life cycle set by a man for a woman? I don't understand why must a woman serve the family after a long day at work while the guys just come home from work, rest and expect hot tasty food served on the table by his wife who worked as hard or harder than him. Where's the logic??

I don't understand why most women embraced this typical life cycle happily? To them cooking for a family, giving birth and taking care of them are like a dream job. I don't see any guy waiting impatiently to jump into this kind of work. Gosh, what's with the women now a days?? We got to juggle 5 or more responsibilities while the guys just juggle, oh wait, just have one job- bring back $ and while at it, go hang out with other guys over a few jugs of beer and maybe throw in some flirting.

If I have the power to recreate the world, I'll just kill everyone on earth, yours truly included so that Mother Earth can live peacefully or should I say recover from whatever damage mankind has caused. Human beings are a bunch of ungrateful living things. Using the word parasite would be a compliment because at least some parasites are useful. Ya life is tough and cruel but who made it this way? Nature? I am betting my life that humans contribute at least 50% to this fact.

And why on earth must we consume the flesh of another dead animal? I mean, if you think eating dead cooked chicken or fish is rational, then why don't you eat dead human corpse? It's the same kind of logic isn't it? Ya we need the protein bla bla bla but we can get our protein from other sources like beans and legumes. If vegetarians can survive, why not the other carnivorous or omnivorous homo sapiens?

Going through the wet market, passing by the chicken slaughter house, walking across the fish seller's stall just made me wanna puke. It's not because of the smell or blood dripping into the pail that was prepared for the melted ice water or the way the chicken seller cut up the chicken. It's because of the smell of fear of the live chicken, prepared to have it's throat slit and how the fish opening it's mouth and gills, killing for air. It's a torture for this animals just because of the so-call-needs of us human beings. I really hate the thought of some animal sacrificing it's life for the sake of that few inches of taste buds and that few millions of leptin hormone to kick in to send signals to our pea-sized brain that we're full.

If you want to start talking politics to me, I can give you more fuel and motivation aka anger to start a scene-- go visit Malaysiakini. Read it with an open mind about corruption, about politics, about the behind scenes of our government's work. Read and judge with your wisdom and don't trust everything you read. I believe that writers are very powerful in controlling people's mind. They can just cook up a cock and bull story and whatever they write can influence the reader's mind and since readers have mouth, they'll go blab everything they read to people around them that will listen and after enough of blabbering, would influence more innocent and ready-to-accept-whatever-you-say-as-fact kind of people. But I'm not saying that all news and whatever stories published are fake. Hence my advice, read with an open mind and judge it with your limited wisdom.

Phew, a short visit to the market can make me ramble so much, I wonder what will happen if I start going to the market daily. Nah, I rather die in hunger than feed this raging fire in me.

Oh, yesterday's dinner was fantastic. Had pasta at La Bodega (check out more here )and a chocolate cake at Godiva.

What I know about La Bodega is it's a Spanish Restaurant and have nice breakfast. My friend who picked it didn't have a clue about it and we kinda regretted when we saw the menu. It's not a place for dinner but very suitable to get drunk. You get me?? Anyway, we ordered pasta each and they ordered another mushroom tapas.

I ordered a Spaghetti Ramazetti which served with grilled chicken in a mustard cream sauce tossed with rocket salad and cost me RM26. The "rocket salad" was bitter and I felt like I'm having grass and the spaghetti was dry, really dry. On the bright side, the chicken was delicious.

My friend's mushroom tapas was well, according to her, bread and mushroom soup LOL. It looks something like this

La Bodega Tapas
(Ignore the red colour dish, got this image from google image)

After the food, M said she needs glucose and wants dessert so they brought me to Godiva and she said L will treat since they're flying tomorrow ='( and asked me to choose anything I want because she saw my OMG-It's-So-Expensive face. Each cake cost more than RM15 and one piece of chocolate or truffle was about that range of price too!!
We had this RM15 Godiva Dark Chocolate Cake

(ignore the date, got this picture from google image)

and it was FANTASTIC!!! The top layer was chocolate gelatin, followed by a layer of chocolate mousse, then a layer of mouth melting pure dark chocolate and a layer of chocolate cake (not sponge mind you but thick condensed chocolate cake) served with chocolate, mango and strawberry sauce. I like the mango sauce because it somehow enhances the dark chocolate taste. Gosh, I'm salivating already!!! AND AND the chocolate ball on the cake, I'm assuming it's also melt-in-the-mouth dark chocolate since they ate half each and I don't really like sharing food where it involves exchanging of saliva (L bit half and gave the other half to M).

Ooolala....I was in heaven but I didn't dare eat much since I'm not the one paying and the more I eat, the fatter I get. Anyway, while waiting for 4 waiters to serve us this godsend cake, we were discussing on how to pronounce Bally. How do you pronounce it? Bailey?? Bolly?? Well that was their pronunciation were so I went into the shop and asked the manager how to pronounce the shop's name and ahem, they were both wrong hence they shared the bill!!! Hahahaha
