bored

I can't believe it...me feeling bored at home.

Last night I slept early and hence I woke up super early too.

Got up, nothing much to do since I've finished all the series that I missed when I was away and read most of the mangas too.

So, what to do now?

Study? Really? Errr.....maybe another day?

Go out and meet friends? But I'm lazy to go out too. Last night missed a yum cha session with the excuse that I'm sleeping early which I did in the end =P

At time like this, summer fling would be fun to cure my boredom =P

Sensitive me...

Am I reading into things too much?

Am I expecting too much?

Al I getting attached too quickly?

I should stop...pronto!

Saw this on Fb and quite like it =)

I also like this sesame street song LOL
A, you're adorable
B, you're so beautiful
C, you're a cutie full of charms
D, you're a darling
E, you're exciting
And F, you're a feather in my arms

G, you look good to me
H, you;re so heavenly,
I, you're the one I idolise
J, we're like Jack and Jill
K, you're so kissable
L is the love light in your eyes
M, N, O, P, I could go on all day
Q, R, S, T, alphabetically speaking, you're okay
U made my life complete
V means you're very sweet
W, X, Y, Z, its fun to wander through the alphabet with you
To tell you what you mean to me

So cute right??!!!!

Post Sarawak trip

I was away at Sarawak for 4 days and boy did I have lots of fun and lots of vitamin D. I think the highlight for my trip is the last day where I was given the opportunity to spent time with St Joseph School Band Colour Guards practicing for a competition at Kuching Food Festival.

The waterfront, view from my hotel room.

My first day was all about discovering the area around the hotel and trying Sarawak food. I am so grateful to have friends there who are willing to take some of their precious time off to bring my mom and I around. Thank you so so much!!!!

2nd day was visiting the Jong Crocodile Farm
and Semengoh Wildlife Centre

and crossing the Sarawak River to see the Fort Margherita and of course trying more food. There was a buka puasa bazaar and I had a great time. On that day, I got to spend time with the locals who are so friendly and so easy to chat with. Reminds me of Abd =)

3rd day was museum day where my mom and I went to 5 different museums.
It was a very tiring day and at night, my 2 good nice great friends from Kuching brought me to the food festival and I had a blast. I was lucky because it stopped raining and hence there were less people around. The feeling of unknown skin touching or brushing against mine is so disgusting, it just kills the inside of me.

My 4th and last day was spent together with these 2 kind nice friends of mine and they gave me the feeling that I thought I've lost. Watching how the band members being so initiative and dedicated in coming to practice and having fun around each other just reminds me of those days where I was like them, loving every minute spent with my band, loving every inch of dark skin thanks to the sun rays and enjoying every drop of sweat rolling down my forehead and back. Those were the glory days of my life, the time where I'll never get back but I'll never forget.
PS: The boys were so cute and pretty!!! Feel like bringing them home with me LOL

Do you believe in platonic friendship?
I would like to believe that it exists and I can be a part of this beautiful friendship.

I know a lot of people does not believe in them. They don't believe that 2 friends of a different gender can be close yet does not have special feelings for each other.

Why not I wonder? True, there might be special feelings or feelings more than normal friends would have but I believe that those who have such wonderful friendship might not risk it. Is it worth sacrificing this close bond for something more that might cause you to lose this beautiful unique bond forever?

Things that have change will never get back to normal again. I am not a true risk taker so even if I'm in that situation, I would keep my lips sealed.

Why the sudden thought? Well, I do realise that I have friends that I keep in touch everyday and most of them are of a different gender just like moments ago, my secondary school friend just called and asked me out for lunch but I was lazy and he ended up delivering the food to my doorstep. Seriously, this is what I call friends but others would assume that there's more to it.

Really? Can't there be kindness or selfless act that does not require anything in return?

Updates

Well, so what have I been up to so far?

- Had McD after more than 1 year hehehe

- My friend suddenly appeared in front of my door step with pasembur (a type of Malaysian Indian rojak). Love these people to bits!!!

- Went to Ipoh spontaneously. It was 11.45pm when the same friend who bought me pasembur asked me if I wanna go Ipoh and 6 hours later, we hit the road with his another friend and guess what, that friend was so coincidentally my Sunday school class mate!! We were in one of the Ipoh Crystal cave when it suddenly dawned onto us as to where we met each other before LOL. Ate lots at Ipoh =)

-  Went to Melaka the next day and boy were we tired but it was a very very productive day because we got to eat most of the things that we planned to eat =P

- Mom booked a complimentary hotel room at The Westin Hotel which cost RM560 per night!! This hotel also gave us a complimentary Tiramisu cake and a bottle of wine (mom chose white wine and she finished the whole bottle!!! I only drank one cup)

- Met up with my office colleague who took care of me when I was working then

-Spent lots of time at Pavilion and KLCC

- Met up with an IMU senior who is currently working at Putrajaya hospital =)

All these interesting activities from 17th- 21st of July 2012.
Such a great achievement (I know) but all thanks to my friends and mom =)

Sadly, I am a few Kgs heavier =/
At Melaka, I saw this T-shirt that I was so tempted to buy but didn't in the end LOL

Movies and Ballet performances

Besides meeting with friends and eating, I had time to catch a few shows.

I just finished watching You Are The Apple of My Eye, a Taiwanese romantic movie at youtube.

I have to admit that I was sort of able to relate a bit. The feeling of being courted, the feeling of knowing someone really likes you, the feeling of being treasured and the feeling of liking that person back yet you didn't want the courtship to end hence you decide to just keep quiet about it.

After finishing the show, I was stalking my crush's Fb =P
Seeing him happy, I am happy for him too but I don't like his current gf. Not trying to judge but I feel he could have got a better one. But as long as he's happy, then good for him =)

The other movie that I recently watched was The Amazing Spider-man at GSC.

The movie started off with the best music ever and for the whole movie, besides the plot, I was very very aware of 2 things.
1. The background music and soundtrack
2. Andrew Garfield looked and acted like my friend in the movie.

Now, imagine watching the movie without any background music. It'll be so boring and so monotonous right?! Gosh, the music was just perfect for each scene and it makes the whole movie 100% better!!! I would love to buy the soundtrack but is it worth it? For the other issue, AG really really reminded me of my friend throughout the whole show!! His every smile, every move and every hesitation while thinking really really resembles him!!! It was really a little...distracting. LOL

The other show that I watched was the International Ballet Gala at Istana Budaya

I really enjoyed myself but I was too tired and some variation was a little too slow for me. This show was a-must-see according to mom's yoga teacher because of the world class dancers who took their time to appear in M'sia. It was a great show =)

After the show, I saw my ballet teacher/ ballet school principal and a few of my other ballet friends where we did the SP Production at Istana Budaya too. Coming back to IB, it really reminded me of all the great times practicing and rehearsing for the show. Months of hard work and time and of course new friends from all over the M'sia's ballet school =)

My 1st home made dessert- Choc Rum Truffles

Yes, yours truly actually made something nice.

I got to bring some 'ang moh' aka western food to my ballet teacher's house for a gathering and I didn't know what to make since I have no oven can't bake, no microwave and my stove has no gas can't cook!

So I was contemplating either to make cheesecake or this recipe that I saw a few weeks back at youtube. Then I realised that I do not have a cake mixer bye cheesecake.

It's a sign. I'm meant to make this easy peasy Choc Rum Truffles.

Got my materials

Crumble the fruitcake

Melt the choc (stove no gas so used rice cooker)

Add rum, choc and sweetener then mixed thoroughly

End product

I present to you- Choc Rum Truffles

Sadly I put too little rum so I melted my Aero mint Choc and gave them a coating =P

The 'guinea pigs' said it was nice....LOL

So my 1st try on western dessert- A success!!!! Proud of myself =)

Day 6- it's 4.15am now and I'm still typing away here...

Exam result out!!!!

Before that, let me announce another huge important issue....I SLEPT AT 2ISH AM AND WOKE UP AT 9ISH AM....bye bye jetlag!!! Ironically, I'm listening to Simple Plan's song- Jetlag LOL

Right, I was up at 9ish am and I was looking at my Abd email and realised that result is out on Thursday the 5th of July so I logged into my student portal to check if the result is out but sadly it was not...

Watched Would I Lie To You (series 5) at youtube (episode 1 is so hilarious!!! Especially when seeing David Mitchell laughing so hard =P) and I eventually fell asleep again.

Woke up at 2ish pm then saw my facebook homepage, all my Abd friends posting about them passing and I was.....OK, time to face the music....

While logging in and waiting for the page to load, I was calculating the chances of me passing.
I was watching Youtube about 7-8 hours a day, reading manga at least 3 hours a day, doing nonsense stuff like cleaning the house and NOT studying most of the time....high chance of passing?? Hmm....not so high...at all.....

Website loaded.............stared at it.........errr......so I pass or fail???!!!!

I have no idea what I was looking at...there was no obvious words like pass or fail....just numbers for CAS Marks and stuff...

Went to Fb and asked my friend and then went back to the website and look.....ok....

Log off....log in again (just to double check ok?)

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surprisingly the score I got was quite high compared to the amount of work I put in!! wow~~

Now I know, don't need to study hard also can pass =P

Now, how should I celebrate?? Meeting with JY later yeah!! At least someone who is on the same boat as me, so we can actually understand how both of us feel =)

***** being mean to my mom*****
Since I have no phone, I have been calling my mom via skype so I skype messaged her
me: ma, I failed =(
ma: serious?
me: ya =(
ma: so how?
me: Plan holidays lo!!!!! Hahahaha...I PASSED!!!!
ma: Shit! how come know so early? Lucky no heart attack!!!

Me love my mom hahahahah
I did the same thing for my UPSR, PMR and SPM. She should have expected I'll pull the same prank =P
Last time for my UPSR, after prank-ing her and confessed that I got straight As, she asked me back "sure or not, don't lie"
Yup, that's my mom, always thinking that her this daughter is a stupid dumbo LOL

Anyway, I passed!!!
Woah, one step closer to saving lives working life {^.^}

Day 3 at home

Yup, it's day 3 since I left the fridge and went to an oven. Had a long but interesting flight home thanks to that guy from New Zealand who talked to me about anything under the moon LOL

Right, what have I done so far?

JETLAG!!!!!!

I can't sleep at night, feels sleepy by 7am M'sia time and wakes up at 4-5pm. I am like taking over my lazy brother's role!!!! But at least I clean the house when I can't sleep =P

Last night, after coming home from meeting a few of my friends at 2.30am, I laid on my bed in darkness trying to sleep but I was so wide awake!! In the end, I started deleting photos from my phone and by 4ish am, I gave up and went to the living room joining my brother who was awake watching movie through his iPad.

I was bored, still bored after disturbing Spritz so I took out my fiction book and started reading. The more I read, the more awake I felt! By 6ish am, my sis woke up and was getting ready to school. By 7ish am, both my parents were up so I talked to them etc.

By 8ish am, I finally felt sleepy BUT I can't sleep because I need to go get my sister's report card at school!!! Stayed up till 11am only could I finally lie on my bed and sleep. I was in such a horrible mood and even had palpitations while listening to her class teacher talked. My sis failed a few subjects and it's her SPM year!!! Gosh, if I were in a better shape, I would have made things difficult for the teacher by asking lots of 'why did she fail' etc

Anyway, I woke up at 5pm and here I am using the comp at 6.35pm.

There was this paragraph in the book that reflected my thoughts on society and single women. I was telling my friend about it the other day and this paragraph was so similar to what I was saying. It goes:

"you and I both know that this so called independent women thing- in this country anyway- is a complete cod. It's all a big cover up. Yes, we can earn our own money, buy our own houses and change our own spare wheels, but no matter what way you look at it, deep down we're all still judged by whether or not we have a man at our side."

-Wishful Thinking by Melissa Hill-

Agree??

Well, I don't care if society judges me or not, I still don't plan to get married.

2nd day at London- Phantom of the Opera!!!

Yes, my 2nd day at London was very very productive!!

Not going into too much details to bore you down, I'll just give a summary of my day =)

Morning- Sandeman's London Tour which was free!!! Lasted for 2.5 hours.

The tour guide that my group got was an ex-teacher so he had pictures and all the interesting history that he shared. We went to
·         Hyde Park Corner
·         Buckingham Palace
·         The Houses of Parliament
·         St. Martin-in-the-Fields
·         Westminster Abbey
·         Trafalgar Square
·         Nelson’s Column
·         Wellington Arch
·         St. James’s Park
·         10 Downing St.
·         Horseguards
·         Big Ben

Afternoon- PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!!!

We took the chance to just pop by Her Majesty's Theater and there was seats!!! We sat at row K at the stalls and it was brilliant!!!
The props were GREAT especially in the scene where The Phantom kidnapped Christine into his underground house and during the masquerade. The props were awesome!!
At the first 1.5 hours, I felt that the Phantom was singing too fast compared to the live orchestra and I can't connect to Raol, in a way I can't feel his emotions towards Christine. The way he conveyed his feelings were too 'rock solid hard' and not gentle like how a man who is in love. I don't know, it's just me maybe?

But after the interval, things picked up and it was just marvelous!!! In terms of singing, The Phantom was really good, Christine was very very good too but Raol still...erm...ya...but he's great as well (just the conveying feeling part). La Carlotta was as diva as ever and she was WOW!!!

I really really love this show because there's live orchestra, ballet, Great actresses and actors and I love POTO. I was mouthing the whole musical because I have the POTO movie's soundtrack so I know somewhat all the words LOL

Evening- met up with friends of friend and we headed to Chinatown. On the way, stopped by at shops and spent quite some time at this M&M shop which has 4 floors and full with M&M things ranging from merchandise to multicoloured M&M!!!

Night- Went home to my friend's aunt's place and had a nice pre-malaysian dinner =)

Best thing- slept at 11pm and woke up at 6am!! Finally a normal nice good sleep!!!!!!
