Meet Ups

Well, I've not been here for some time so I shall post a little (not in detail) regarding the meet ups I've had with my fellow batch mates.

So on Monday, I met Esther!!! We had great time talking, walking around and doing girl stuff. Honestly this was my first time going to stores and trying on clothes for fun. So now I know who to look for when I want to have girl time LOL!

Tuesday went to uni and met up with fellow juniors/ friends/ orientation group mates (ya, I was the spy so?).

Wednesday I woke up with a fever =(

Thursday, went to I Utama and met up with June, Joshua and Zia. Joshua suggested Kura Japanese Restaurant at One World Hotel but we decided to walk around and decide later and finally we went to The Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe
The interior design was beautiful and the food was not that bad. We had the set lunch which includes a plate of salad, a bowl of soup and a cup of coffee or ice lemon tea with the main course.
I had Grilled Baramundi
June and Joshua had the Chicken Teriyaki
Zia had the Garden Beef Burger
We met at 10.30am and had lunch at 11.45am and sat there and talked till around 4.30pm!! We finally dispersed around 5pm =)

PS: Too bad Esther and I didn't take any pictures =(

Pasta Zanmai & New Watch

Saturday was Tony Roma's, yesterday (Saturday) was Pasta Zanmai at 1Utama.

I can't remember the name of the food so I'll just post the pictures (I brought camera!) and describe a bit.
Pasta Zamnai is related to Sushi Zanmai but this branch is a fusion of pasta and Japanese so it's like Japan meets Italy =)
cute teapot =)
The chefs being busy in the kitchen
The interior design (I was bored so I started to randomly take pictures)
My spicy chicken pasta. The pasta was spicy but the chicken was sweet and I felt full just finishing this bowl.
My sister's seafood pizza with shrimps and scallops with mayo on it.
The scallop on the pizza.
Some sushi rolls
My mom's set- a bowl of pasta with sesame paste and unagi with egg on rice with miso soup
Can we skip dessert?? NO!!! My sister chose this green tea ice cream with red bean paste and fruits on crepe
I chose the chocobanana
where there were chocolate and vanilla ice cream surrounded by oreo like crumbles, cornflakes and banana slices.

After that, my mom went on with her objectives of the day
1. Get me a handbag
2. Get me a watch
3. Get me a travelling suitcase

To get no.1, we walked into Coach (I was using the phone so I didn't know where were we until I saw the price and logo), Kipling etc. Wow, EXPENSIVE!!

Finally, I persuaded her to move on to no.2 and 3 instead hoping to walk from one corner to the other and not achieve any goal BUT she finally got me no.2 at
and this cost more than RM600!!!! LOL, but it was having discount that's why I agreed to it. My dad might be angry about this though =P

Anyway, later meeting up with Esther at MV.

Oh NO!!!! No more Black Swan!!!!! =(
Maybe I'll go earlier a bit and catch Burlesque....

Tony Romas

Well, my cough is getting worse and my sputum has blood stain. GREAT~~

Went to mom's office then Tony Romas at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.
Anyway, to make the story short, we really enjoyed the food and ourselves. Oh ya, the telly was showing some cockroach race. What nonsense!!!

(I didn't bring my camera so all these pictures are from the web)

I had chicken pesto salad-Mixed greens tossed with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, Roma tomato wedges and grilled chicken
(this picture is different because mine had grated cheese at 2,5,7,10 o'clock, no tomato wedges but had mint sauce on the chicken and it was delicious!!)
My mom had Grilled Codfish topped with scampi butter and roma tomato pesto salad. Served with vegetable (broccoli) and rice as side dishes. (the codfish was juicy and Mmmmm....)
My sis had Chicken Tenderloin Platter- Golden, crisp chicken tenderloins served with French fries, cole slaw and honey mustard.
And WE had Chocolate Avalanche- Molten chocolate cake overflowing with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and Oreo crumbles.
(with oreo crumbles as the ice-cream topping and melted caramel and hot fudge as base..Mmmm)
It was heaven!!!!

We were deciding whether to have
Apple Crisp Ala Mode
Apple Crisp Ala Mode- A blend of apples, cinnamon and sugar, baked to golden perfection with a crumb topping. Topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel topping.

But stuck to the chocolate Avalanche because I thought this chocolate avalanche will gonna be like Chili's Molten chocolate (the menu even started describing this dessert with molten chocolate) but it wasn't.

Oh well, it was good enough =)

The moment I reached home around 11.30pm, I was dead tired (and filled) so the moment my skin touched my bed sheet, I was in lala~ land....

Movies That I wanna Watch..

1. Black Swan
The poster for the film shows Natalie Portman with white facial makeup, black-winged eye liner around bloodshot red eyes, and a jagged crystal tiara.
2. Sanctum
3. King's Speech
4. Burlesque

Maybe I'll try to persuade mom to bring me and my sis out for Black Swan later =)

firefox prob

I, the computer noob has finally found out the Firefox problem. It was caused by the plugin- Shockwave Flash.

Another problem has appeared. I don't know how to solve it. I've downloaded the newest Flash (10.2.152.26) yet my Firefox 4.0 Beta 1 is still crashing. So for the time being, I've disabled the Flash and the firefox stopped crashing but I can't watch any Youtube or stuff like that.

In the meantime, I've switch to Google Chrome. I just don't like one thing- No Work Offline button.

Oh, my voice is there, still hoarse and husky. Anyone need backup bass singer urgently =P

Out with 3 jokers

I woke up scared that I've finally lost my voice especially after teaching that class of monkeys yesterday.
"Errr.."
I heard myself...phew...

Next, went to bank and closed down that account, went to Mid Valley and changed some US dollars so I was carrying more than RM3k in my bag, walking around gungho-ly again =P

Met up with June, Zia and Joshua and we had lunch at Zenmai at Gardens and we talked for 4 hours (a lot of updates and gossips heheh)!!! My voice was seriously getting huskier and huskier so finally we dispersed and I went for
The movie was bloody (especially after every gun shot) and well, to be honest, not as much action packed as I've expected. I hope I'll be watching another version of The Transporter but somehow this movie lacks the omph! I don't know why but it just didn't feel enough, something is missing. Maybe a little too fast track for me, not enough of shooting/ punching/ bombing/ car action I don't know but when it ended, I just felt "huh, that's it??"

Rested my voice and currently preparing for the next battle- TEACHING AGAIN till 10pm!!!!
I'm sure my voice box has finally got annoyed and angry with me and will refuse to talk to/ for me so hopefully when I go "errr.." tomorrow morning, I'll hear myself =)

OK, got to go teach some monkeys how to dance =P

Love Sick

Yesterday was valentines day. My plan was to just relax but I woke up with a dry throat again and my back felt uncomfortable.

So after spending hours at FB replying wall messages and chatting at msn, I finally shut off my computer and had a nap because my head felt heavy.

Later, I woke up with a fever and lumbargo. It felt like my extrinsic and intrinsic back muscles were not having enough glucose and could not hold my body up. Feeling so weak, I decided to watch a movie- Going The Distance.
This movie initially gave the same feeling as Tropic Thunder, with a lot of F words but I kinda got used to it and tried to enjoy the movie despite feeling so weak.

Mom came home and scolded me for not taking any medicine and she keep telling me off for not taking paracetamol so after a torturous dinner, I popped a 500mg paracetamol and slept at about 10ish.

By 1ish am, I woke up feeling so fresh but mouth still felt dry so I went and drank some water and reflected on my friend's trouble sleeping before any major exams. Now I understand how it feels to not be able to sleep well.

Eventually I slept and woke up when my mom came to check on me before sending my dad out to work. She said I still have a little fever and asked me to go take another paracetamol later.

Till now, I have yet to pop my 2nd tablet and have been trying to find a solution for my firefox 4.0 beta. It keep crashing when I open my yahoo mail and some other pages. Yesterday was fine but I think what triggered it was the link to stream grammys online. Jeez...

Any ideas how to solve this issue?

Visa done and ballet friends hangout

I can't believe that I haven't blog about this!! Yes, I finally got my visa done. Surprisingly, mine just needed about 2 days or less to process. I handed in my application on the 2nd Feb (Wednesday) and the next two days were public holiday (Chinese New Year), and on the following Tuesday morning at 8am, I got my visa approved!! Wheee~~

Well, if anyone needs any help in clearing any confusion, you can leave your questions here and I will help you as much as I can because I went through it and I know there's lots of doubts. Oh if you search or read any forums about UK visa, do not believe them 100% because some information just make you worried over nothing like how they made me worried about my fixed deposit (FD). And if you are wondering, FD is acceptable.

Right so after getting my visa, I went to uni and instead of studying which I have not been doing, I watched White Collar season 2 (few episodes and all half way through) and part of glee. So on Friday, I continued this routine but this time I did it at home and shockingly my internet speed is not slow at all!!

Saturday, I took a break from all the streaming and went to Tesco with mom and spent a lot of time at Popular. I am so happy that this month's Reader's Digest is featuring Jay Chou!!! Besides that, there's a free compliment copy of puzzles!! Whee~~
Unfortunately, I can't lay my hands on any Jeffrey Archer's books that were on the fiction shelf. There were
1. Prisoner of Birth
2. Path of Glory
3. Cat O'Nine Tales
4. And Thereby Hangs A Tale
5. The Eleventh Commandment
6. The Fourth Estate
7. As The Crow Flies
8. The Prodigal Daughter

I already have the 1st 3 books and another few which were not on the shelf but I don't have the other 5!!!!!It'll cost me at least RM150 to get those 5 books =(

After shopping at Tesco, went home and went to my ballet teacher's place. We talked, ate and SANG!!! Yes, Cass played the piano and 5 of us (including my teacher's husband) just jammed with songs ranging from classical old to modern pop. It was just so fun =)

Next, 4 of us went to Desa Parkcity together with my mom and had steamboat as dinner. We just talked and talked and talked and had so much fun. Sadly, Frog couldn't join =(
