farewell parties and meet-ups 2

I was supposed to meet Jayne in the afternoon but she just came back from Super Junior concert yesterday and didn't sleep well because was too excited hence feeling extra tired after meeting her uni friends for breakfast. She went back and took a nap while mom and sis keep asking me "eh, haven't go out ah?" LOL.

So she came over, had dinner and then we headed out to D'Pastry Chef to meet up with TC, TS, YP and surprisingly GK!!! Well, I had to practically beg GK to come out because it has been so long since we last met and talked.

Anyway, all of them were late so TC and I talked a lot, Jayne joined in occasionally. At around 9ish only did the other 3 appeared. It was fun and listening to them talked nonsense was funny but sadly, I could feel the distance between all of us.

At one time, TS (my longest keep-in-touch friend) asked how was my 1st love and of all people, I thought of HIM and blurted out, he's working and is having his own company. OMG...vomit!!!!!
We left at 10ish and Jayne and I sat in the house outside and talked more till 11.40pm, something I've only done with RG so far =)

farewell parties and meet-ups

It's another 13 days before I leave my homeland...

Anyway, looking at my planner, I have met and am going to meet with
1- My ex-office colleagues
2- My ballet peeps
3- My BFF
4- My primary school friends
5- My high school friends
6- My uni mates (batch mates and juniors)
7- My cousins

So far, I've met with said number 1 and 2 this week. Sad to say, we did not take any pictures =(

Met up with said number 1 on Tuesday and we had lunch. Lots of talking and I even managed to embarrassed myself in front of the CEO. I went up to him (we were all so happen at the same hawker place) and said "Hi, do you remember me?" ....awkward silence....followed by him saying "Ya ya, so what are you doing here?" He didn't look like he remembered me but oh well...he will after this LOL.

Yesterday, we ballet peeps decided to wear red and we had dinner at my ballet teacher's place. Food was provided by Van, Frog and teacher and it was delicious. Around 9ish 10, when I was talking to teacher while she was washing up, my dear ballet peeps suddenly went missing. I assumed that they went to the living room to play with little Sophia but suddenly, teacher asked me to check out what were they doing and...

They were crouching around the laptop and...

They made a video for me and the background music was our theme song- Smile....

Seriously, I did not expect this. I mean I suspected something was amiss (since we always have surprise party for each other)but never this. A video of them including little Sophia (teacher's 4 years old daughter) telling me stuff (a lot of MUST COME BACK) and all the pictures of us together. I could have cried but I was too tired (was packing my clothes into the luggage the whole afternoon) BUT I am very sure I will when I'm all alone, missing ballet and all the stupid crappy jokes we always crack in class and the fun...gosh =(

Thanks a lot!!! I really appreciate it very very much!! Sob....
Frog is missing....
Cass is missing....

*************************

Tonight meeting with said number 3 and 4. Tuesday meeting with said number 5.
MUST TAKE PICTURES!!!!! Grrr....

Tony Romas again

So today at around 3.30pm, my sis left home alone to the KTM station and took the train for the first time alone to KLCC. Met her there (we were actually on the same Putra LRT lol) and we walked, talked, my legs and back were aching and I was dead tired.

Hung out at Kinokuniya and bought some stuff, went around and went and bought some hair accessories, something that I have been looking high and low for.
Then met mom and we went to Tony Romas and had dinner. Had the almost same dishes, but we had free dessert- carrot cake.
The carrot cake was nice but a little too sweet for me due to the icing on it.
The Chicken Pesto Salad (half)
The other day, we had the full one and it was delicious, somehow this was not as good as the previous one.
My mom ordered the cod fish grilled, blackened with sesame seed crust with rice and broccoli.
My sis and I shared the Mojo Chicken-Seasoned, grilled chicken breasts basted with Tony’s citrus and brown mustard Mojo sauce. Topped with our house-made pineapple salsa and served with rice pilaf and a fresh vegetable. My sis and I had mashed potato and corn instead of the rice and vegetable.

OK, I am so tired. Talk to y'all soon...

PS: why Dato' Lee Chong Wei can win? Because last time he was just plain Lee Chong Wei (LCW) which stands for "let china win". But now he has a Dato' so he became (DLCW) which means "Don't let China win" LOL....lame joke from FB =)

What's up?

Meeting friends in university just makes me feel happy. Listening to them telling me their stories or some knowledge just makes me realise how lucky I am to be here today.

Looking back to my time in semester 1, I know I was always unhappy. I didn't have a group of friends like in high school or college and I was a nobody. I hated those days where I hide in the library just drowning myself with studies to deny the fact that I felt lonely. I don't have meals in uni because deep inside I know I despise the fact that I got to eat alone. I watch movies alone and claimed that it was fun but it was just bearable because once I stepped out from the cinema, I don't know what to do or where to go that's why I always watch 2 movies in a row.

Well, from semester 2 onwards, I got to know more people and had people who I can call friends. I enjoyed my life better but the habit of studying 24/7, not eating and watching movies alone became part of my routine and till now I still have such life.

So when you ask me why I study all the time, why I spend my whole uni life in library, why I don't eat and why I watch movies alone, my answer will be

I adapted...

Shopping at 1U again

This is the 2nd time shopping at 1Utama and spending more than RM1000 LOL...
(First time was when I bought my watch)

Last sunday, went and bought
1. My 28" luggage bag (Rofina-Swiss brand) which cost RM220 because it was having a 50% discount at parkson =)

2. A dress and a cardigan which comes up to RM215
3. Under garments which also comes up to RM200
4. 3 British India's linen pants which cost up to RM400

Now now, I know it's so expensive but everything was on sale and in my defense, the pants were having 70% discount each (Original price was RM499)!! I know, it's so shocking for me to enjoy shopping, spending AND getting a dress =P

Anyway, after shopping for a whole afternoon, we went to coffee bean and had tea. I had the coffee bean yogurt again. Pictures taken with my mom's Blackberry =)

The cafe latte was free and the yogurt flavour was Black Forest.

How did the cafe latte taste? Milky.....

Let's look at the yogurt I'm having...

What's so special? The round chocolates are actually coffee bean coated chocolate!!

Look!!!

My sister had the mango peach flavour with almond toppings.

While at British India, met Dr.Shamsuddin, a doc from Hosp Selayang =)

While looking for my mom at Coffee Bean (I went and put the luggage bag in the car first), I heard loud cracks and the next thing I know, the floor tiles cracked up. I guess due to bad calculation and when the weather is too hot, the tiles do not have enough place to expand so they cracked up. LOL

Well, that's all for now. Settled my plane ticket issues and took chest x-ray already. So what's left to do is pack my luggage and settle bank stuff. Phew, feels like there's so much to do!!

Taking the Lead = A Lot of Hassle!!!

As most of you know, I was somewhat a person who was in charge of many things back in higher primary school and high school. So after 6-7 years of leadership, it has kind of ingrained into me to take charge of things. For this trip for my studies, I thought of helping around so I emailed and get to know the other 9 students who are going with me. Everything was fine until I discover that people are so fickle minded and so relax.

I got my UK visa in early Feb (some of the 9 haven't get their visa and we got to fly before 10th April!) so the next thing I got to settle is the flight ticket BUT since the university is arranging transport for us from the airport to our rented flats, we got to decide on a day and fly in together. Somehow, the JPA sponsored students misheard that we're all flying in on 3rd (Sunday) so they called the JPA and told them to book their flight on the 2nd.

Problem?
It's a freaking Sunday and UK people are very particular about this. Will they work on a Sunday? I doubt so. Why on earth Malaysia mostly show American dramas? Isn't it great if they show us some UK dramas so that we can learn and know their culture too??!!

OK so if they can't provide us transport on Sunday, my friends and I will fly in on the 4th but will they fetch just 2 or 3 of us?

OK so if they can provide transport on Sunday, how are we going to take the flats keys? Will the uni hold it for us but the uni is not open on a Sunday!! So we bunked in with seniors? They don't even stay at the same place!! Imagine having a tug and war with our 30kg luggage (I shudder upon thinking about it).

Why the hassle to get the flight ticket now? BECAUSE the fuel price is increasing and the plane tickets will increase at least freaking 25% by tomorrow!!

For the moment, the price is RM2500 on the 2nd/ RM 2200 on the 3rd via KLM so if there's a 25% increase, it'll be extra RM500-RM600!!! Woah!!!

Now if only JPA can reply to the JPA students soon and hopefully the uni can reply my email before 5pm because we got to book the tickets before 5.30pm!! ARGH!!!

My uncle scolded me for taking the lead. He told me I should be selfish and just care about myself but I can't! It feels so wrong to be selfish and ignore the others who need help. He scolded me stubborn and said that I'll suffer and feel disappointed soon but honestly I know, I have been through it but it doesn't mean I should just stop helping people and be selfish. I believe out of 10 times, I'm sure I'll be appreciated once and just once is good enough for me =)

PS: A piece of better news- my chest x-ray only cost RM30 =)

O2Mania

I finally found it!! Instead of playing O2Jam online, I can play the offline version which is called O2Mania.
Well, thanks to Jon who found the website for me and thanks to this blogger Serene who posted it up.

If you want to download too, go to http://blog.applejunk.net/2008/05/o2jam-songs-pack/
You will need to download the O2Mania game first then the songs =)

Have fun, well I am...=)

siblings

What does it mean? Well, in my context, it means pain in the butt.

Warning: This is a post for me to complain bout my sister so if you may, skip this post.

She wakes up, bath for like hours, comb and tie her hair then have her breakfast. In the midst of chewing, she fills up her bottle then start dreaming in front of her cup of milk+ oat.

From her sequence of this routine, you know that she's a vein pot. Why can't she eat then tie her hair? No, MUST tie and comb hair first. Fine if you want to go that way but why do you do things SO SLOWLY!! Everything seems to zoom pass you but you are just being oblivious. I rather sleep then lift a finger to help you.

Maths, Chinese, Chemistry, Physics and what else, I don't care are weak but instead of finding solutions like going for tuition or asking friends to teach, you join this nonsense Sports Prefect Club and skip the whole first 5 periods of class to be on duty for 2 days per week, come home dead tired, sleep, go ballet then at night complain and start showing temper because you don't understand or don't know how to do.

Look, if you want to ask me how to teach you, you don't freaking come with your face as dark as Dark Vadarth and expect me to be nice to you. Basics and foundations are weak and so what do you do? Sleep and hope that it'll go away and such problems don't exist. Explain to you nicely, you show me your dang stupid face and say I don't know loudly, then when we go for dinner, you freaking show your blardy temper and eat as slow as possible then complain dinner takes up a lot of your time, duh with the way YOU eat. Hell, who can stand you?!

Ask you to give me your 1hour time per day to give you tuition but you can't because you're oh-so-busy. Screw you and I want to go far far away and see how you survive from far!

My bro, oh well, don't make me start.

I'll go play O2mania to chill now....

March

Dang, it's so fast!!! What have I achieved for the past 9 months since June? Let me see...
1. Work
2. Travel
3. Laze at home
4. Meet up with fellow IMU friends (juniors) and help them here and there

Wow, just 4 that is so not brag-able jeez...

I wanted to post something about something but now rushing so can't post anything. Hey, it rhymes!! LOL

Last night after having steamboat as dinner at Desa Parkcity, we went to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for...

Frozen Yogurt and it was yummy!!!

We had the caramel affogato and banana caramel. I prefer the banana caramel because it was sourish and milkish like real yogurt while the caramel affagato has some coffee in the middle so it was bitter sweet.

After the two regular cups of yogurt, my sis and I went crazy and we started singing loudly along the radio in the car and in the petrol station. Even the petrol attendant was looking and smiling at us =)
