cold gloomy lazy

It has been raining, drizzling, gloomy and cold for the past few days, makes me want to curl up on my bed and just close my eyes into oblivion.

No thoughts about the future, no thoughts about the past, no thoughts about the present....just disappear into something I call bliss....

As you know, cold gloomy rainy days bring out the emotional me.

Reminds me of the days when it rained during bandcamp and there I was, sitting all alone enjoying tranquility until my drum major rudely barged in and 'accompanied' me. Sharing a moment of quietness, I felt like we connected without any words and that was the start of our friendship and bond which turned into something more than I expected.

Sometimes, being alone isn't something to be ashamed of or something that defines pathetic. I learned that being alone doesn't mean lonely because you can feel lonely although you're in a crowd.

I don't know where I am going with this but I feel like composing a poem....

Deleted post

Well, a senior called and was concerned about my previous post which I deleted yesterday.

It brought me back to sem 1, where I blogged about the Orientation and somehow some seniors found out about my blog and a few of them warned me quite harshly about the things I wrote yet I did not delete any post. I was worried, scared, angry that they'll track me down and 'bully' me during the orientation by making life difficult for me and my group mates but thankfully nothing happened.

So why delete that post then?

I realised that my blog is a place for me to rant and write about things that happened in my life. For some of you who didn't know, I have a diary which I write daily so sometimes when I managed to get hold of my diary before the computer, I'll rant through pen and paper. I guess it's quite impulsive of me to write things aka facts/ feelings/ emotions/ thoughts that run through my mind at that moment but it's called ranting for a reason right?

Sorry peeps, I guess having people around me finding out about my blog makes things difficult for me to rant publicly so I'll just rant at my private blog or in my diary and update this blog with random stuff...

Edinburgh trip was very very fun! Going around with a map and google map at the hand is so much fun!!
We went to the Castle, museums in the castle, Scotch Whisky Experience, bars, Hard Rock Cafe, gardens and I went to the Art Gallery by myself. I was trying to improve or should I say, instill some artistic value in my right brain LOL. I find the paintings very interesting but sadly, the gallery closes at 5pm so I only had 1 hour to look through which I barely covered 1/4 =(

Now I know that I like to go to museums and galleries so if I were to go down South aka London, I know where I'll be spending time =)

A few selected pictures below. More on FB.

Reached Edinburgh, 1st thing my friend brought me to was--> BAR. I had my 1st ale (beer without gas)
My coach bed. Well, it's FOC for me so no complains =)
 Edinburgh Castle
My failed attempt to 'hold' the trumpet. A lot of other tourist were watching >.<
Pimm's O' Clock. It was nice and refreshing with cucumber, strawberry, orange and mint leaf in it
My 6Oz rump steak burger for 3.99 (original price 7.49)
Tickets to Edinburgh Castle and Scotch Whisky Experience
Diageo Claive Vidiz Collection (3500 unopened bottles)
Whisky tasting (highland, lowland, Speyside and Islay)
Free Glencalm Glass (the glass we used for whisky tasting)
 Hard Rock Cafe

Charlotte Square, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site
 Starbucks
 Naional Art Gallery
 In the gallery
 Scott monument
 Scott monument
Princes Street Garden

After a fun day, went home by train but on the train I realised that I was surrounded by people drinking alcohol! The man sitting in front of me was having a sandwich with red wine while another guy at the next table was drinking his 4th bottle of beer just after departing half an hour ago! The aroma of alcohol was so nice though LOL

Reached Aberdeen station at 11pm and it was raining heavily. Walked home under the heavy rain and was very very wet and soaked when I reached home. Bathed and unpacked and used the computer till now (2.45am) so time to zzzz...night!

Koizora movie

Just finished watching 2 movies in Youtube and I have to say, it has been a long time since I watched a korean movie that is slow yet interesting and a Japanese movie that always never fail to make me shed tears.

The Japanese movie that I watched was Koizora.

This movie is a love story between this couple. Watched it at Part 1 and Part 2

The main actor hair is just so cool and it's white!!

I'm totally in love with that hair style. He's also the same actor who acted as Kazehaya in Kimi Ni Todoke Aka =)

Next is Daisy

You can watch it at Youtube as well.

It's an urban romantic melodrama between a young painter, an interpol detective and a professional hitman.

Nothing much to say about the actors and actress besides I like how the hitman (the guy on the left in that poster) looks (not very typical Korean and mysterious) and how I like the story develop even though it can be quite slow. Not the typical love story too.

Right, should start to hit the books. Ja ne~~

Party- a success

I can officially gloat here.

After ranting here (read previous post), I went to buy the finger food because I was worried that food might not be enough, then I went to the junior's student accommodation and oven baked the finger food because it's near the venue. While I was baking, my fellow junior aka A levels friend and IMU friend was there to hear me rant and helped me to bake the food while nipping some away.

When he went and changed for the party, I was still feeling the heat from the rant so I Whatsapp my friends in Malaysia and the next thing I know, one of my Sarawakian called and we were chatting while walking to the venue. Our topic of conversation - diabetes because he just finished his exam on this topic. He's working as a medical rep =)

Like usual, everyone were late. I went to pick the food up and after that, one word to describe all --> success

There were extra food and everyone were happy =)
Cleaned up and walked home at 12.15am =P

Just rant a little more to clear it from my system.
After eating, instead of cleaning up, you guys keep pestering to go home because you guys feel tired. WOW.....but thankfully you realised your mistake and helped to clean up a bit. Thank you =)

Thanks to a teddy bear senior in kuching who was there, ready to hear me rant. Thanks to my another Sarawak friend who called to distract me from worrying too much. Thanks Jon for helping me bake the food and hear me rant as well. And a final thanks to RG who even though at China/ Russia border called to find out how am I.

I am sincerely blessed to have you guys around. Thank you so so much =)

Ello =)

Wow, blogger has a new look and I just found out that this is my second post in 2012. Shame on me, sorry peeps who occasionally dropped by here to check for updates.

Well, things are OK here. Suddenly I have this feeling to blog so here I am. Well, I'm currently feeling a little sad. Why did you ask? Because I'm having a week off and I won't be seeing my group mates for a week.

For this block, I managed to know my local friends and became kinda attached to them. Long gone are the days where I was with the other 2-3 Malaysians in my group. No doubt having them in my section is beneficial but I always have the idea that since I'm here in UK, I should make friends with the locals and learn their culture but having to be in the same group with my other Malaysian friends are not helping at all.

Let me give you a break down. The whole 4th year is separated into 9 groups for 9 blocks. Each block, there'll be about 16-20 peeps which would be further divided into 5 groups so you'll be with 2 or 3 people for that whole 5 weeks (1 block consist of 5 weeks for 4-5 different departments). That whole 16-20 peeps will only meet for tutorials. Anyway, for my 1st block, I was with this Malaysian who started her 1st year here. For my 2nd and 3rd block, I was grouped with one IMU-ian and another Malaysian who started 1st year here. But for my 4th and 5th block, I was at Inverness with 2 other guys who I am kinda close with now. Then for my 6th block, I was alone because we were in our GP practice everyday.

Finally for my 7th block, I managed to 'infiltrate' the locals because the IMU-ian I was with went to Inverness with the other Malaysian who started 1st year here. The 2nd Malaysian who also started 1st year here was sick and stopped coming altogether. Hence, I got to really know the locals and now, for my 8th block (where we were not put into small groups) I would say I am very comfortable with my whole group mates. Joined them at the pub (1st time at pub at night), joined them for pizza sessions which I took lots of pictures and ate a lot (whole 13.5 inches large Domino pizza all by myself + extra 2 slices from the free pizza + homemade scones + lots of cakes). Totally enjoyed myself. Sometimes, I think I talk too much =P

For this block, we were to make a presentation or role play on a genetic disorder. My group got Haemophilia and I was with 2 guys and 2 girls and we all had great fun acting and mocking the genetics week LOL!! I guess because of the time we spent together practicing, watching nonsense youtube videos together and having lunch together as a whole big group made me kinda attached to all of them so I'm feeling kinda sad now since I won't be seeing them for a week.

Going to Edinburgh with my 2010 part-time job colleagues later this Sunday and organising a senior-junior party this Saturday.

****** Going to start ranting so be ready *******

This party was supposed to be organised by the IMU 4th year peeps but wow, I am the only 4th year apparently because no one in my batch did anything. The only thing that one of them did was, pushing the responsibility to me. Wow, you got the call from the senior but you called me instead and told me that the senior hinted that we need to organise the blardy party. Wow, you are at Inverness and you can't organise because you are so far away. Wow, it's so difficult to go to facebook and create an event and invite all the seniors. Wow, it's so difficult to call the cafe and order food. Wow, it's so difficult to manage from Inverness even though you come back here every other week. Wow..... <.<

Seriously, no one is really helping here. It's an event organised by the BATCH not just me. I don't really mind organising but at least when I ask for opinions via messages, you guys can reply but Nooooo, it's so freaking difficult to type a blardy message. Fine, I'll make the decisions but I swear, there bound to be complains during the party. Just you wait. I've braced myself for it and I am going to be pretty pissed off if they complained about things that I have asked them for their opinions but let's just wait and see tomorrow.

Alright, got to start studying soon since exam is round the corner. I wonder if lots of drama series and manga will help me pass my exam just like for my mocks....should I take the risk?? Hmm....
