farewell parties and meet-ups 2

I was supposed to meet Jayne in the afternoon but she just came back from Super Junior concert yesterday and didn't sleep well because was too excited hence feeling extra tired after meeting her uni friends for breakfast. She went back and took a nap while mom and sis keep asking me "eh, haven't go out ah?" LOL.

So she came over, had dinner and then we headed out to D'Pastry Chef to meet up with TC, TS, YP and surprisingly GK!!! Well, I had to practically beg GK to come out because it has been so long since we last met and talked.

Anyway, all of them were late so TC and I talked a lot, Jayne joined in occasionally. At around 9ish only did the other 3 appeared. It was fun and listening to them talked nonsense was funny but sadly, I could feel the distance between all of us.

At one time, TS (my longest keep-in-touch friend) asked how was my 1st love and of all people, I thought of HIM and blurted out, he's working and is having his own company. OMG...vomit!!!!!
We left at 10ish and Jayne and I sat in the house outside and talked more till 11.40pm, something I've only done with RG so far =)

farewell parties and meet-ups

It's another 13 days before I leave my homeland...

Anyway, looking at my planner, I have met and am going to meet with
1- My ex-office colleagues
2- My ballet peeps
3- My BFF
4- My primary school friends
5- My high school friends
6- My uni mates (batch mates and juniors)
7- My cousins

So far, I've met with said number 1 and 2 this week. Sad to say, we did not take any pictures =(

Met up with said number 1 on Tuesday and we had lunch. Lots of talking and I even managed to embarrassed myself in front of the CEO. I went up to him (we were all so happen at the same hawker place) and said "Hi, do you remember me?" ....awkward silence....followed by him saying "Ya ya, so what are you doing here?" He didn't look like he remembered me but oh well...he will after this LOL.

Yesterday, we ballet peeps decided to wear red and we had dinner at my ballet teacher's place. Food was provided by Van, Frog and teacher and it was delicious. Around 9ish 10, when I was talking to teacher while she was washing up, my dear ballet peeps suddenly went missing. I assumed that they went to the living room to play with little Sophia but suddenly, teacher asked me to check out what were they doing and...

They were crouching around the laptop and...

They made a video for me and the background music was our theme song- Smile....

Seriously, I did not expect this. I mean I suspected something was amiss (since we always have surprise party for each other)but never this. A video of them including little Sophia (teacher's 4 years old daughter) telling me stuff (a lot of MUST COME BACK) and all the pictures of us together. I could have cried but I was too tired (was packing my clothes into the luggage the whole afternoon) BUT I am very sure I will when I'm all alone, missing ballet and all the stupid crappy jokes we always crack in class and the fun...gosh =(

Thanks a lot!!! I really appreciate it very very much!! Sob....
Frog is missing....
Cass is missing....

*************************

Tonight meeting with said number 3 and 4. Tuesday meeting with said number 5.
MUST TAKE PICTURES!!!!! Grrr....

Meet Ups

Well, I've not been here for some time so I shall post a little (not in detail) regarding the meet ups I've had with my fellow batch mates.

So on Monday, I met Esther!!! We had great time talking, walking around and doing girl stuff. Honestly this was my first time going to stores and trying on clothes for fun. So now I know who to look for when I want to have girl time LOL!

Tuesday went to uni and met up with fellow juniors/ friends/ orientation group mates (ya, I was the spy so?).

Wednesday I woke up with a fever =(

Thursday, went to I Utama and met up with June, Joshua and Zia. Joshua suggested Kura Japanese Restaurant at One World Hotel but we decided to walk around and decide later and finally we went to The Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe
The interior design was beautiful and the food was not that bad. We had the set lunch which includes a plate of salad, a bowl of soup and a cup of coffee or ice lemon tea with the main course.
I had Grilled Baramundi
June and Joshua had the Chicken Teriyaki
Zia had the Garden Beef Burger
We met at 10.30am and had lunch at 11.45am and sat there and talked till around 4.30pm!! We finally dispersed around 5pm =)

PS: Too bad Esther and I didn't take any pictures =(

Out with 3 jokers

I woke up scared that I've finally lost my voice especially after teaching that class of monkeys yesterday.
"Errr.."
I heard myself...phew...

Next, went to bank and closed down that account, went to Mid Valley and changed some US dollars so I was carrying more than RM3k in my bag, walking around gungho-ly again =P

Met up with June, Zia and Joshua and we had lunch at Zenmai at Gardens and we talked for 4 hours (a lot of updates and gossips heheh)!!! My voice was seriously getting huskier and huskier so finally we dispersed and I went for
The movie was bloody (especially after every gun shot) and well, to be honest, not as much action packed as I've expected. I hope I'll be watching another version of The Transporter but somehow this movie lacks the omph! I don't know why but it just didn't feel enough, something is missing. Maybe a little too fast track for me, not enough of shooting/ punching/ bombing/ car action I don't know but when it ended, I just felt "huh, that's it??"

Rested my voice and currently preparing for the next battle- TEACHING AGAIN till 10pm!!!!
I'm sure my voice box has finally got annoyed and angry with me and will refuse to talk to/ for me so hopefully when I go "errr.." tomorrow morning, I'll hear myself =)

OK, got to go teach some monkeys how to dance =P

Visa done and ballet friends hangout

I can't believe that I haven't blog about this!! Yes, I finally got my visa done. Surprisingly, mine just needed about 2 days or less to process. I handed in my application on the 2nd Feb (Wednesday) and the next two days were public holiday (Chinese New Year), and on the following Tuesday morning at 8am, I got my visa approved!! Wheee~~

Well, if anyone needs any help in clearing any confusion, you can leave your questions here and I will help you as much as I can because I went through it and I know there's lots of doubts. Oh if you search or read any forums about UK visa, do not believe them 100% because some information just make you worried over nothing like how they made me worried about my fixed deposit (FD). And if you are wondering, FD is acceptable.

Right so after getting my visa, I went to uni and instead of studying which I have not been doing, I watched White Collar season 2 (few episodes and all half way through) and part of glee. So on Friday, I continued this routine but this time I did it at home and shockingly my internet speed is not slow at all!!

Saturday, I took a break from all the streaming and went to Tesco with mom and spent a lot of time at Popular. I am so happy that this month's Reader's Digest is featuring Jay Chou!!! Besides that, there's a free compliment copy of puzzles!! Whee~~
Unfortunately, I can't lay my hands on any Jeffrey Archer's books that were on the fiction shelf. There were
1. Prisoner of Birth
2. Path of Glory
3. Cat O'Nine Tales
4. And Thereby Hangs A Tale
5. The Eleventh Commandment
6. The Fourth Estate
7. As The Crow Flies
8. The Prodigal Daughter

I already have the 1st 3 books and another few which were not on the shelf but I don't have the other 5!!!!!It'll cost me at least RM150 to get those 5 books =(

After shopping at Tesco, went home and went to my ballet teacher's place. We talked, ate and SANG!!! Yes, Cass played the piano and 5 of us (including my teacher's husband) just jammed with songs ranging from classical old to modern pop. It was just so fun =)

Next, 4 of us went to Desa Parkcity together with my mom and had steamboat as dinner. We just talked and talked and talked and had so much fun. Sadly, Frog couldn't join =(

the best (yet) gathering!!

PBL yesterday was OMG!!! I was so blur because it was about ECG and I haven't read anything about it yet and the faci (a Doc previously attached to UM) was like trying so hard to stimulate us and get us to the point yet the harder he tried, the blurrer I got. He reminds me of Darren actually LOL.

After PBL, rushed to train station and I got wet because it was raining dogs and cats. I was so cold and I was sure that I'll be freezed to death yet (I guess) the amount of fats in my body helped me to cope. I think getting fatter might do no harm in this case but argh, No FAT!!!

Anyway, Jayne came and picked me up and we went back to her place and catched up for a while then went to (Yes Lai Thin) Daorae, the Kepong Branch to meet Sang. I know why it's special to some people because apparently the TVXQ aka Dong fang Xen Qi (東方神起) actually came here to have their meal and the restaurants around it was full with people or fans trying to get a glimpse on this group of Korean singers.

I am sure this is my best gathering ever!! We had Korean BBQ and we laughed and I really enjoyed myself!! RG came and brought karl Fei along too. We had fun chatting and recalling all those funny moments back at school and laughed real loud. The food was fantastic. They had rice so they were fulled sooner than me since I did not had rice. It's just so funny trying to stuff the whole thing in the mouth and started calling each other BMW (Big mouth Woman) LOL. To enjoy the BBQ like the korean, we had the meat dip in this oil+salt sauce then put some vege and special chilly sauce and AAAHHH...stuff it in your mouth!! Hahaha!!!! Besides the meat and vege, there were side dishes which can be refilled so I was happy eating. I had no guilt eating so much because I didn'e have breakfast nor lunch =P

When we were done with the meal, I jokingly said this meal is on RG and he really paid for my share. I was flabbergasted because I did not expect him to pay!! Each of us got to pay almost RM50 mind you!! But he was like "nevermind nevermind" LOL. Later, Jayne brought me to another restaurant to eat ice cream cake. It's special where the cake is made out of ice cream and the fruit flavour is so rich and when it melts in your mouth..mmmm....

By the time I reached home, it was almost 11pm!! I quickly bath and before I slept, I send a "thank you" message to RG and guess what??! He said the food was not nice and he'll treat me another meal again. OMG, this people, work at Aussie for a few weeks, came back feeling so generous!!! Anyone, wanna ask him to treat?? Hahahha!!!

Anyway, got to rush to lectures already!!! I had real fun with Jayne and Sang and KF and RG!!! Thanks so much for giving me a nice happy memorable first Korean meal!!! hehehe =)

reunion of Chem+ Further Maths collegemates

Harlow...I'm back again but with PICTUREs!!!
So let me tell y'all a story with the help of the Pictures....
(lets have the American accent for this post)

lets start with the boring stuff dudes...
All of us who came (Ivan and Sailesh was late so they are not in yet)
We were all so /very hungry thus menu was our focus at that time (but Bryan was a poser..lol)
Jia jin was like studying for an exam while Joe was a poser too (I guess Bryan taught him)...
Edmund who loves talking just keep the juicy gossips flowing...but Shannon found something else more interesting...
the gossips kept flowing till the extend that sailesh wanted to punch him...Bryan and Jia Jin (the Tai Koh) was alert to avoid any violence
So Edmund being tolerant kept quiet and had his food while Jia jin was stoned because nothing happened and his being alert was a waste (look at Sai's grin)...
But Edmund being loud and impatient couldn't help being quiet and started spreading his "teaching of "lame jokes" that made all of us LAUGH....we were all so happy!!!
All of us were still in laughing mode but Sai was not that happy because his plan to humiliate Edmund failed =P
From far left: My sleeves, Ivan Cheong (Susan), Sailesh, Goloka. Shannon and Bryan
The same side but with extra some one....presenting...dear ALVINT!!!!
The other side of the table after Jia jin: Joe, Victor and Karam (all posers!!)
Guess who were they listening so intensely to?
ME!!! hahahahaha...Notice what the guys are wearing ...white(jia jin), black(joe), white(Vic), black(Karam)...I'm in between (brown) LOL
I have no idea what was soooo funny...notice Karam and my hand? So weird....like dog's paw
Quote Alvint's words : Peace - Jene is signaling it,Goloka is saying it...(but I look so rabbity and Golok don't look like pronouncing the word right)
All of us had something serious to discuss
Presenting CNN live with me...Guest appearance: the very animated Karamdeep Singh
I have no idea what we were talking about but look at Karam!!! (after knowing that I look like rabbit, I decided to cover my mouth just like the above pic but with hand this time) LMAO
The happy college mates

Did I mention where were we? Nah, dates aint important aint I rite?

Venue: Ms.Read at 1 Utama
Date: 23 April 2008
Mood: Indescribable but mostly fun and happy to see each other
Length of reunion : 7pm -10.30pm

**fail miserably in American accent and the things I said here are just created by me spontaneously...not exactly what happened at that moment =)

"Old Friends New Year" Gathering

After blogging last Saturday, I received a few messages asking if I'm going to the gathering. Its actually a farewell party for Mun Ee, a primary school friend. I planned not to attend based on a few theory
1. I don't think I have anything to talk to those old friends
2. It'll be separated into groups and each group will have their own topic
3. I'm broke
4. I'll be bored
5. I need to study

So at night while having dinner with my family at the nearby restaurant, few called up to persuade me to attend. Yes, in the end, I went because an old friend, Tze Chooi who migrated back to Alor Star was back in KL for vacation. We were close friends and I actually went up to AS to visit her few years back and an opportunity to meet her without the need to travel far made me attend the gathering.

At first, my mother who was so confident that she knows the gathering venue wasted 15 minutes turning round and round to look for the shop called One Station. At last, Tuck Seng my buddy (knew him since standard 1) came and rescued me. Anyway, the first person I saw was my class teacher for primary 4,5 and 6---Mdm.Tan. I took a seat beside TS and the next thing I know was I'm talking non-stop for 3 hours to everybody.

What shocked me most was when I started chatting with Mdm.Tan. She has problems with her daughters. Apparently her eldest, sitting for SPM this year is quite bad in studies because she is too involved in her scout activities. Her younger daughter whose English is not that fantastic is also having problem with her studies. Why was I shocked?? I came to the conclusion that teachers can educate students but not their kids. I suddenly recalled her youngest daughter (also studying in KB) telling me that Mdm.Tan has insomnia. Sad right??

Since I was late, a few friends tried to bully me by asking me to name all the people who was there, one by one. Thanks god my memory did not fail me, especially when it came to this gal where everybody had hard time recalling her name. When she heard me speaking her name, she was so overjoyed that she stood up and hugged me. People really do like it when you remember them (so don't you dare forget me!!). Ya, a few KBians were there too, I think was just coincidence.

About my theory, it seems that number 1,2,3, and 4 did not happen but 5 really did happen because by them time I reached home, it was 12.45am. Do not misjudge me, it is my 1st time staying out this late but you can't blame because I need one of them to fetch me home and they did not want to leave. Anyway, by the time I reached home dad and mom was sleeping while sis was watching Shark Tale on TV3.

And you know what? I did wake up at 7am and attended the puja (prayers session) at temple just like what I promised. I walked the talk!!!! So proud of myself, and since I did something that I write here, I'll tell you guys another thing--I'm skipping McDonald for this year. I'll only allow myself 4 times of McDonald meal this year. I'll keep you guys posted if I ever have a meal, just to keep track.

Now, I'll let the pictures do the talking

Everybody who came for the gathering. The gal in grey is the gal leaving. Mdm.Tan sitting beside me. Spot any familiar faces?

jing yi and hui san. I have no idea why I took this picture. All I know was, "Eh, I haven't take picture with you, come come!" and there I was stuck in the middle.

My buddy and close friend, Tuck Seng and Tze Chooi ^^ (Tuck Seng looks retarded here..lol)

We were one clique in primary school, another few in not in this picture. Notice the 2 guys in white shirt? Boy they look so blur. Standing from left: Khee Leong, me, Tze Chooi. Below: TS and Jonathan(Son of my standard 3 English teacher who actually spoiled a chair by sitting with one leg, since then called him cho lan dang in Cantonese)

Guys and gals. Guys from left: Tze Xiang (Tze Chooi's cousin who is also in the same class), TS and Khee Leong. Gals from left: Hui San, Jing Yi, me and Tze Chooi.

The guy at the far right is Wei Liang-one of my group mates. Recalled how I used to bully him last time even though he is so BIG. All acting crazy except Tze Xiang

In this picture, we were suppose to act normal and smile but Tze Xiang always do the opposite. If I have the time I'll upload my primary school band picture where you can see everybody lined up and posed like a discipline school band and there Tze Xiang was yawning away. Honest, what we can see is his big wide mouth and his body.

With our beloved Mdm.Tan. Actually we were half way telling her how to make her daughter study when Jing Yi suddenly said:" come, let's take pic!!"
All the gals. Wondering why I always have the chance to sit?? Because yours truly was the class monitor. LOL!!! The gal that everybody couldn't remember her name is standing behind me in black shirt. From left standing: Jacqueline Tan, Yee Lee Ling, Hui San, Jing Yi, Tze Chooi, Joey, Seow Ying and Mei Woon. Seated: Mun Ee, Mdm.Tan and me.
The guys. Standing from left: Tuck Seng, Wei Liang, Yau Cheong(the boy who is quiet and unfortunately sit with me in standard 4), Khee Leong Tze Xiang, Jonathan and Zhi Huan(funny guy who always act cool). Seated from left: Siu hoe(not our primary school classmate but is a KBian), Jian Yi(the guy who called himself The Rock in primary school), Karl Fei (he was a shorty but grew taller, the guy who sat behind me in standard5 and 6 and love to grumble and swear bad words..lol)and Gee Kit(the guy who sat with me in standard 5 and 6 and love to joke a lot. We have a lot of secret words that are just so funny.) Scroll up to the first pic and spot the guy in red sitting beside Mdm.Tan, he's not in here because he was actually working there. Apparently they purposely went to that shop to see him. His name is Kee Swing.

Everything went well, and I believe 10 years down the road we'll still know each other and remember each other (I will, hopefully you too). Friend from HELP, I'll never forget you guys too!!! I miss you guys lots....
