Asian Idol

OMG!!! I just can't believe that Singaporean guy won the title!!!
The most powerful voice we could easily agree that Jac or Mau, the Philippines gal has a very powerful voice. Unique and soothing voice I would say will be dear Mike. I like him very much, he's so cute like teddy bear and so humble. The most showmanship I would say is Abhijit from India. Well, typical Bollywood style and the song he sang-Junoom is Karam's favourite song!!! We can always hear it in his car on our way for lunch. The Vietnamese gal like what Kent Lim said, has a package. Her voice is nothing to wow about but still is decent.

Now, that Hady from Singapore is obviously egoistic and so full of himself. He knows that he do not stand out among the 6 constants thats why when the result was announced he was so shocked. We can see sincerity from Mike and Abhijit but not from him at all!!! Gosh, the moment the result was announced I totally no mood to watch but to change channel. I rather watch a Malay programme.

Maybe you say I'm anti Singaporean but I clearly understand what I am feeling. I feel cheated and I do not want him to represent Asia in any singing competition. He'll definitely lose!!! Call me a sore loser but I still do not want him to be the Asian Idol. HE DOES NOT REPRESENT US ASIAN AT ALL!!!!!! I think the voting system has faults. I've sent in a few and that few was rejected like this morning!! I sent in at 10pm and when I woke up this morning there lying in my inbox was a message stating my vote is invalid. I was so angry an felt sorry for the other 6 idols.

STUPID!!!!!

bio class party

It was a cold Tuesday due to the sky that keeps weeping. Woke up and reached the immigration office to make my passport. The whole process really is testing your patience. Guess what, my mother, sister and I waited from 8.45am till 4.45pm just to make and get the passport.

Ok, the bio class party. I was at the office waiting for my number to pay for the passport. My mother who took another number after me paid half an hour earlier than me!!! At 12pm, Vic called and asked where am I and told me the party has been postponed to 1pm. In my mind, the class party would be big because it is a P.A.R.T.Y. so I was imagining me arriving late in front of a big crowd. After paying, I rushed to Pizza Hut and to my surprise, there was only 4 of them consisting MJ, Paul. Tats and Vic. The number increased to 5 after I joined in. I didn't bother much and tucked in because I was hungry since I skipped breakfast.

After finishing our lunch, our VIP hasn't arrived yet. Yup, he was late because according to him, traffic jams occurring around KL due to road blocks, BERSIH thing I think. Anyway, while we were talking and chatting away, out of no where a guy wearing jeans with his shirt tucked in, a white and red stripes of Liverpool fan club shirt (jac..he's a liverpool fans too!!!) and his arms was on his waist. We looked up (he was tall) and there he was----MR.RONNIE!!!!!!
All of us laughed and laughed for eternity till he said:" Why, very funny ah?" Yalah!!! First time see him wearing a short, tight fitting shirt (small) and some more tucked in shirt.

We had a good laugh and he asked :" Don't want to take picture ah??" When all of us took out our handphone he quickly chipped in:" Eh, eh, Joking lar!!" hahahaha, Jac, you missed a lot!!! While he was having his cold lunch, we were talking (in front of him) why is he a vegetarian. yes, Mr. Ronnie, our dear Bio lecturer is a Vegan. Later, we ordered dessert to accompany him and Paul, Tats and MJ formed their own conversation, Mr. Ronnie who was sitting in front of me chat along with Vic. Our conversation was just random. First, we asked why and how he is a vegan, then how he became lecturer, then how he obtained his Masters, then his research (for his degree he did research on how to increase sperm count, for his Masters he did research on how to decrease sperm count), then his family (he's from Kuching and is from St. Joseph---egoistic people (Boo jason!!)), then his daughters (ya, we never will let go this topic) then about HELP. HELP is going to be HELP Uni and since A Level is an external programme, it would be under HELP Academy. ADP would be stopped.

After the meal and chats, he decided to leave. He keep saying, okay lets go. But we ignored him and of course when the sky started to cry again, we went off. It was fun, and ya Jac, it finally sink in that A Level is coming to its end. Going to get a degree then start working. Hope to obtain Masters and PhD but for now, 4 As please in A Level!!!

time to say goodbye

Honestly, I started to hate December since 2005.

In year 2005, on 30th December I've lost a friend.
In year 2006, I was busy preparing for my January's exam and some stuffs happened.
In year 2007, I finished my ballet production, went for interview, sat for mocks that were torturing, and it just dawned onto me that I finally finished my a level too.

Before I continue, let me repeat some scenes before and during my interview.
My mother who is famous for her punctuality nearly caused me to be late for the interview because she missed the turning. Next, while waiting for my turn she kept talking and talking while I kept myself occupied by reading the book that MJ gave as my birthday gift. When it was my turn they called my name so I walked up but there was this guy who walked in first and followed the interviewer to the room that I was suppose to be in. So I quickly inform the administrator and yup, that guy was in MY room. Surprisingly I was not nervous, scared or feeling anything but to just quickly go home to finish the book.

Interview started
~we want to know more about you so tell us about yourself. So I started telling them and I think I spent about 10 minutes talking. When I finished the other interviewer (there were 2) said :"wow that was brief and he started laughing". I don't know if he was being sarcastic or truthful. Next he asked~what instrument did you play since you say you were in a band. I answered:"trumpet". Then he started to laugh even louder and said:" hope you wont blow it here...hahaha" (Sweat! Lame!!)
~what do you know about IMU. Why did you pick IMU. Tell us what curriculum does IMU has. What's so different in IMU.
I was stunned because all I know is IMU is famous for the concept problem-based- learning. Then I started crapping and well they know I was crapping because all the facts was WRONG!! Then they explained to me what is it all about and honestly I do not remember clearly but what I remember is the other interviewer said:" you better attend our talks or open house to know what are you putting your money in for.

If I were to grade myself, I'll just give a 3 out of 10. Yup, I did badly but I'll give myself 8 out of 10 for crapping. ^^

I confess I will miss quite many people from college, particularly those who were close to me. Jac, Karam, MJ.....thank you so much for all the support and time spent on me. I know I crap a lot and talked about too many random things but I'll definitely will repeat it again if I have the chance because seeing you guys laughing at me is worth while. Jac, the paper hearts that I give you these few days are just small things to make you feel happy (MJ do not feel jealous..bluek) Jac, too bad this last 2 weeks of college I haven't been able to see you that many time. I still have that few pieces of papers that was suppose to be paper hearts to pass to you this last few days!!! ish....hope you'll enjoy your cruise to Mediterranean. And the Liverpool jersey thing, don't mention about it, well you actually told all of us in your blog you wanted it for your birthday, I just did a small part ^^

Like Jac I also prefer Bio class friends. Even though we spent less time together, we actually make those time worthwhile. Thanks to the jokes MJ, Tatsuki, Paul and sometimes Victor, Bio class has been fun and something I look forward. Of course not forgetting Mr.Ronnie (siiiiiirrr~~~). Lol. Further Math, Maths and Chemistry class is mostly the same old faces and ya we spent a lot of time together but it was during our 1st n 2nd semester. In 3rd sem, Bio rocks better.

Besides that, I will also miss the time we(Jac, Karam and Joe and sometimes Edmund, Kelly and Gavin) went out for lunch at Bangsar. Haha, Jac, why say Edmund and Kelly intruded?? Just label them as disturber because somehow I like Jac felt having them is not that fun. Sorry to say so but its the truth. I will also definitely remember all the jokes we cracked, Hindi songs we sang in karam's car, places we went......I feel so sad for admitting that we are going to our separate ways. How I hope time can be rewind, how I hope time can slow down, how I hope we did much more.....

I would like to apologise if I ever do something that hurt you, made you mad or sad. I know in second semester I was a little (ok, a lot) emo, always in some sort of mild depression. I'm sorry if I destroyed your day. I'm sorry for being slow sometimes, I'm sorry for annoying you, I'm sorry for talking too much sometimes, I'm sorry for everything I've done wrong.

Yes, A level is reaching it's end but I hope our friendship will be like a circle-never ending....forever. I'll miss you guys a lot!!! Very much!!! But life must go on and ya, we are going on.....

Mj: Please don complain why I keep mentioning Jac's name....Hmm, maybe because she UPDATES her blog!!

The Slave Princess

I wanted to bore all of you with my past one week's rehearsals but I'm, you know, not that bad. So instead I'm going to make it as short as possible and hope I wont go nuts about it.

Honestly when I looked back my diary, I wasted a lot of time flipping back pages. I stopped on 17th June, yup, that's the first day of my rehearsals at Taman Tun. Forward to 2nd Dec, it has been half a year long of practices and gathering. I'm now still missing it and hope time can be rewind.

Istana Budaya is a big and cold place. Help students, remember the first week of college where it was like freezer to us, well maybe it still is till today but try to imagine the coldness plus us in leotards and tights. Brrr....COLD!!! The first day at IB was cold and foreign, and it was the first time every character was in the rehearsal. Usually those who are missing are the teachers (Ms.Liew, Ms.Rowena, Ms.Mark, Mr.Wong), Mr.Choo and presenting---Mr Joseph Gonzales. Do not know who is he?? He is the director of Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan. Go google about him. If you still recall, he and Mr.Choo was one of the choreographer in 8TV's So You Think You Can Dance. Besides that, I'm sure you still remember Suhaili also known as Sue in the same programme. But I would also like to present Elynn Chew and Bryan Chan. Yup, highlight on Bryan Chan. Let me show you some pictures of him.
Now you see why I emphasised on him?? Look at his body!!!! Look at his muscle!!! Look at his big eyes!! Look at his height!!!And the most unbelievable part is, he started ballet at 18 years old and now he is majoring ballet in Singapore Dance Theater!! I really admire him. He was so cool and matured and....*drooling*....

Anyway, enough about him, let me show you Mr. Joseph.
I think he had ballet background but majored in contemporary. He was a joker all the time doing stunts like above. Missed him already...during the 2nd day, I was chatting with him when he suddenly asked if I want to become a professional dancer. Then he asked how old am I and end up with his eyes popping out from his eye sockets. He can't believe that I am 19. Lol

Ya, IB was cold. Did I mention that already? But I'm sure I haven't told you that on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, our rehearsals were from morning 10am till 11pm. Ok, the stage was huge!! I stood in the middle of the stage during break and I can actually feel people clapping and the sound vibrating in the hall. I am so proud to be there and I want to thank my ballet teachers and friends who encouraged me to take up this challenge. I was just trying out during the audition but never could have guessed that I'll have a second audition. Grateful, I will cherish these moments forever ^^

On the 1st night of the show, clearly all of us including the soloist was very very nervous. Somehow knowing I'm not the soloist calmed me down. The VIPs for the day were the King and Queen of Negeri Sembilan, Menteries of I-donno-who and many ballet teachers. Before the show, we all gathered on the stage and ms. Lee (the choreographer) asked us all to shout out loud and make a circle and run in and out. While shouting as loud (and as high) as I can, I nearly cried. Most of us actually cried (my eyeliner was waterproof so no worries) but the tears did not flowed down. It was an emotional scene for most of us. The show was splendid and when it ended after the protocol of sending the royalties out, we were relieved and happy and I was on top of the world!!

On the 2nd day before the show, we were given a "slave princess" t-shirt, a stalk of flower and the programme book. After the shouting period (not as loud as previous day), we started our show. This night was almost full with people but somehow the soloist did not do as good as the 1st day. Of course I was having a little tiny wit of fear in me that day because my ballet teacher and few other friends were among the audience. Bryan was not doing that fantastic too maybe he was under a lot of pressure since his director was among the audience too (Director of Singapore Dance Theater). By the time the curtain came down, most of us were not that very glad because we knew the next day is the last day.

On the 3rd night, most of us were sad but busy taking pictures. I was the 1st person to bring the programme book and asked everyone to sign, which was followed by the others. On the last night, the house was FULL!!! All tickets were sold out. The show was a blast, a great success and all my other ballet friends came and gave us support after the show because they were not allowed to the back stage. After packing, we had a short party with food , drinks and songs going on. More pictures taken and more people dancing with the music. We had a short candid version of the slave princess featuring Mr. James Quah, the vice president of The Dance Society, Suhaili and Raymond. The night ended with Mr. Sunny (the president of The Dance Society) giving a farewell and appreciation speech. After that, my hectic life that had schedule entitled rehearsals of SP ended.

Let me show you some pictures I took on the last day.
Ms. lee Yupin the choreographer and ex professional dancer who remembered my name after 2 years. 2 years ago I went to her ballet school for extra class. She thought my name was Christine and I do not know how. But I just let her call me that for a few weeks till one day I corrected her--My name is Jene not Christine and maybe because of that she remembered me.
Elynn--One of the princess. She's funny and her technique is stronger compared to Suhaili but she's not that expressive. Behold...Bryan!! My friend and I were feeling awkward to take pictures with him. We were actually the 1st. I still remembered how he performed in class, really when he starts dancing, its like there's a spotlight on him.
Suhaili without make up. Haha. She was like--now take pictures meh? I so ugly, no make up. We persuaded her with " natural beauty mar" hahaha, she was actually munching on chocolates too.Mr James Quah, the vice president of The Dance Society. He's good in salsa and funny!! He really is a joker!! He danced funnily throughout the whole party.JS- one of the crew member who turned into our guard. He studies theater and guess what, he is only 21!! But too bad, he smokes . Actually all the crew members smokes, all as in boy and gal.
My 2 ballet teachers that was involved. The left handside is Ms.Liew which is the fierce and strict while the right handside is my ladyboss Ms. Rowena. She taught me when I was small.Mr.Joseph Gonzales--another joker. Some of his works no, most of his performance are in IB so I guess he knows everything about IB.Ms. Ellie Zhou, she's a ballet teacher and last time was a professional dancer. The students she trained mostly end up as professionals who also major in ballet. Some of them are Elynn and Bryan, not forgetting almost all the soloist.
These are the soloist. Majority are under ms. Ellie. This is the stage manager ms. Gan. She's big and loud and cannot mess with but she is actually fun to be with and funny and kind. She can't speak English very well so when she briefs us, it'll make all of laugh. I remembered she telling us--sorry for being loud because I study theater. haha...
These are the guys that dance ballet. Ya, DANCE BALLET. They were not sissy (maybe a little). The guy in the middle learns break dance and he performed (showed off) during the party. Lol
And this is the full cast of market people. Only market people mind you.
This is what my friend did. Entitled "3 of us" consisting of Andrea the gal who edited this picture, Vanessa and I. For your info, Andrea is form 4 and she actually made Vanessa and I angry because she was bossy and keep scolding people. But hey, I appreciate her because as a friend we accept her with blunders and all.

Many people when talk about ballet will imagine a girl in tutu turning around with the hands in 5th position aka a circle over the head. Mind you, for this production, the boys stands out and clearly a few was in the limelight. This includes the crew members such as JS. There's also a few tall and good looking guys but its so sad when I saw them having meeting outside IB and smoking away. All the good images of them just broke into pieces. Why must people smoke?? This includes the gals too!! There's this one gal called Ai Ling and she is so pretty. All of us were shocked to see her smoking too. (Not forgetting Ms. Gan).

Then after the party, went home and study whole night until Monday morning, then sat for 3 papers of Biology continuously. Went home then study for Chemistry throughout the night. Tuesday morning sat for Chemistry 5 then spent 1 hour studying Mechanics then sat for Mechanics mock. Went for ballet class after that and felt weird because my whole body was feeling not in shape. Went home and studied for Chemistry 6 again throughout the night.

So now, I'm practically tired to death because of not getting enough sleep and stressed up because mocks are not going too well and Thursday is my IMU's interview then Friday is my IELTS result day then Saturday teaching and having ballet class. Suddenly out of the blue everything just came tumbling down on me. I just realised my a level's last paper is on 30th January and if I am accepted to IMU, my classes starts in February.

I have No life!!!
and I am Going to be crazy!!! and I am Going to be depressed for this week again!!!

heheheh, just emo for a sec ok? I'll be fine don worry ^^
Everyone involved
