The day the earth stood still

Just came back from watching this show with Van and Frog aka Yvonne. It's quite nice but many people said that it's not nice and stuff like that but for me it was like normal movies, not bad. Keanu Reeves was still with his stone face acting and what caught my attention was Jaden Smith (Will smith's son). He's just 10 years old yet he's so good!!! And so cute!! Hahaha

By watching this movie, it just dawn into me that most humans usually use force and violence to solve problems. It's like almost ALL movies that have aliens, will definitely have army butting in the scene and shooting their humans-think-cool-but-stupid-and-useless-to the-aliens missiles. Come on, if they can invade Earth, they definitely have weapons way powerful and advance than us!! Their mental and mind power is definitely greater than us weaklings.

Besides, why must the president be the "leader" and decide for mankind? In this movie, it was the President of US that decides to blast and shoot the aliens when he is not even in US!! Who is he to decide how to save the earth? Have you ever seen a movie where aliens invade and ALL presidents or our Agung sit down and decides whats best for Earth?? Even in this movie, Klaatu, the alien wanted to meet the head of human yet the President send his loyal secretary of defense (think of Ms.Rice)to decide everything.

Yes, the main moral behind this movie is shouting at us--SAVE THE EARTH!!!! So people, if you have yet to practice recycling you better start now. I wonder why can't our smart lovable respectable government make it a law for all of us to start recycling stuff?? Reminds me of our Form 1 poem,

The Dead Crow
He saw a dead crow
in a drain near the post office.
He saw an old man gasping for air
and a baby barely able to breath
in a crowded morning clinic.

Why should we suffer like this?

I want clean air for my grandchildren.

Ya, how I wish politicians are real human beings and not wolves in disguise under cutis. Some of the ways to save earth--Don't waste water, don't drive unnecessarily, compost, walk or cycle more often to places, stop smoking, stop using pesticides and insecticides, don't keep your lights or fan or computer on 24/7, use less air-cond, don't waste paper, print at both pages, plant more trees, use recycled paper, don't litter, recycle your cell phone and the list goes on...

I have been reading and reading and buying and buying more books. I am so crazy. Now I have to speed up my reading speed and cut down online time to finish the books before my lecture starts. More over there will be more outings and more movies to catch =)

I guess being with friends younger than me makes me return to my sweet 16 mind. After the show, I was caught talking about MORE Twilight stuff with Van. But I hereby declare that I am more of a Harry Potter Freak than a Twilight Freak. LOL. Enjoyed my day =)

PS: The kiss that I posted few days back is not extracted from any books. This is all I will say.

Next movie to catch is Beverly Hills Chihuahua on Friday with my ballet friends and teacher =)

Dogs

Every time I when I watched a dog related movie, tears definitely swell in my eyes. These movie never fail to make me tear up. Let me introduce or refresh your memory of this 3 dog movie that touched my heart so deeply.

Quill

This is a Japanese movie which is based on a novel, the life of quill that tells the story of a labrador retriever's life. From how he learned to be a guide dogs to how he died in the end. Want to know more, please refer to wiki where the synopsis is more detailed.

Hearty Paws

















This is a Korean movie about how this labrador retriever puppy was stolen by a brother to give it as a birthday present to his 6 years old sister. This movie is VERY touching as this brother and sister are all alone since their mother went to the city to earn a living after the death of the father but she never came back. So this movie shows how the dog became their family and something VERY sad happened and more sad things happened to them. Seriously touching.

The Kiss

Emily was in her shower, relaxing her muscle under the constant touch of the warm water. While scrubbing her scalp and producing more bubbles at her hair, she recalled that scene, the one scene that happened so innocently but had changed her life.

It was raining very heavily but they were still under the rain perfecting their steps. When the school bell rang, all the students left the canteen and walked back diligently to their respective classes under the watchful eyes of the disciplinary teachers. Tanya, the leader who was form 5 decided to call it a day, asked everyone to change and get some rest in the scout room.

Tanya was closer to the 4 form 1s which includes Emily, Ashley, Louise and Sandy because she sees leadership potential in them. While the other members prefer to go back to class for lessons, only 4 of them followed Tanya down to the field for more marching practices.

In the scout room, they took turns to change their wet marching T-shirt into their dry school uniform in the empty cupboard which was initially used to store their camping equipments. The first to change was Tanya, then Ashley followed by Sandy while Emily was packing her school bag. When it was Emily's turn to change, Tanya was in her playful mood where she threatened Emily to open the cupboard door immediately before she force the door to open.

Emily was shocked because she just took off all her clothes except her undergarments. She could not open the door. No, she didn't want to open the door. So instead of following the order, she held the door tight and told Tanya that she will not open. After much discussion and persuasion from her other friends, Tanya gave up and said it was all a joke. Deep down, Emily knew Tanya was serious.

When she came out from the cupboard, her face still felt hot and she knew that it was red. Secretly, Emily wanted to leave the room immediately but she has no where to go since it's another half an hour before school ends. Hence she stayed and pretended to pack her bag again. This time, Tanya had another idea. She approached Sandy and asked her if she had tried kissing a guy before. Emily did not manage to catch Sandy's answer but what came next shocked everyone in the room.

Tanya went closer to Sandy and asked if she wanted to try kissing her. Sandy said no but her answer made Tanya push Sandy back to one of the cupboard and it happened just so quickly. All the other 3 pairs of eyes were watching them and Emily knew what was on their mind at that moment. We don't want to be the next victim. Tanya was pushing her face harder to Sandy's while Sandy shut her eyes as hard as she can, it was a scene that all of them will never forget.

The next victim was Emily. Tanya walked slowly towards Emily and told her I know you want it too. Emily, terrified said NO yet it did not discourage Tanya. Emily as quick as she can opened the cupboard-turned-changing room and shut the door hard and shouted as loud as she can that she did not want it at all. Before she realised anything, Ashley and Louise became the following victims since they were afraid to lose Tanya's special attention.

Emily, in the dark cupboard cooked up a plan. She will open the cupboard door, ran to her bag and out from the scout room. Before she executed her plan, Tanya whispered to the cupboard that she will respect her decision and she is safe to come out. After a long pause, Emily breathed in hard and stepped out from the cupboard that had become her shield. She noticed Tanya was not around anymore but the lips of her 3 friends were very red. They hugged each other and it was Emily who said "everything will be fine".

Why did Emily recalled that scene? Because it was the warm bath that she desired when they were marching under the cold rain, on that unforgettable evening.

What have I been up to?

I bought a book at MPH when I was getting the birthday card for my ballet teacher so now I have 3 books to read, 2 thrillers and 1 Twilight. I've read the first 12 chapters of the 5th Twilight saga book , Midnight Sun and it's the same as Twilight but this book is from Edward's point of view (Twilight is from Bella's point of view). Yes I know, why the sudden craze, I would say, Thanks to Van who has been constantly discussing it with me that made me so, ahem, don't know what words to use. Jasper!!!

Anyway, besides reading, I have been busy playing Facebook's pet society. It's like neopet but a little dull because at least neopets has lots of games to play, this pet society is..I don't know, just plain boring.

On Wednesday, Van, my ballet teacher and I went to Sungai Wang. I actually suggested just a surprise cake for my ballet teacher but the others discussed and wanted to go Sg.Wang so I agreed too since it's only my 3rd time there?? It was supposed to be 5 of us but the other 2 couldn't make it in the end. 3 of us just walked and walked and my ballet teacher bought 6 pieces of clothing. The clothes there are a little too "lala" for me so I just accompanied them.

Honestly, the gal I am teaching Add Maths is slowly getting on my nerves. I did not work for the money so when the mother asked how much I am charging, I just told her to pay me the amount she felt right because I never took tuition hence I do not know the market price. My decision sort of made my parents angry because they were sure that the mother will take advantage of me and pay lowly but I don't mind. As long as the gal can get a B or better from a fail.

(x^2-5x+6) takes her at least 3 minutes. My gawd, you can see me biting my lips preventing my big mouth from telling her the answer. When it was the Index and Log chapter, a mere log3[log2(x+1)]=2 takes her almost 5 minutes to digest and end up looking at me and saying "I don't know" with that Back to the gal, she's so slow!! She's going to form 5 next year and a simple factorisnggirly plead tone. HELLO??!! I haven't touch Maths for almost a year and I still can solve it!! Gosh, can't wait for December to end!!!

Recently, people I don't want to meet are calling me out to catch up. I have been trying not to answer my phone yet, guilt fills me up and I end up giving them excuses and more excuses. Seriously, I don't want to be a hypocrite and fake my smiles and laughter, I'm sick of it already.

Argh, so random and so unorganized. I don't care, I just want to finish my books and get on with life. Sadly my relatives commented that I am looking fuller especially the face. I totally know and noticed but what to do ='(

Outing with the 2 Siao siaos

Came back from hotel, went for ballet class, came home blogged and off I went to MV to meet up with MJ and Jon. It was already 3.45pm so we went and bought movies tickets. We were deciding between Quarantine and Twilight and MJ was bugging Jon to make up his mind so he said Twilight and there we were holding the tickets of 4pm Twilight movie.

Suddenly, Jo Ye called and said she was coming. I was !!!!!!!!! So quickly MJ went and queued up to buy another ticket but Jo Yee got there in time to stop us because she watched already (she didn't want to watch the 2nd time means the movie is err??). Sorry Jo Yee.



Anyway, Twilight started off OK. I was honestly more attracted to the awkwardness between Bella's dad and her than to her and Edward. It was so real, I mean that long-time-no-see-you-dad kind of feelings. And there was quite a few cut scenes! I want to know what happened when Edward wanted to kiss Bella. The 1st scene was they were gonna kiss and the next scene was he pushed himself back to the wall. What happened?? He tasted her blood? What?? Ishh....

I think it was because of the company, I felt that the show was funny and FUNNY. If I were to watch it with mom, I might be like those typical gals, fantasizing for a bf like Edward. (Superman flies to th sky with Lois lane while Edward Cullen jumps around from tree to tree with Bella LOL) But too bad, we were laughing most of the time thanks to some gals who were giggling (cute-nya~~~ LOL) beside MJ. There was this scene where Edward confess he has been watching her sleeping, I thought of something which was said out loud by MJ--STALKER!!!! Hahahaha


Anyway, I prefer Jasper than Edward. Quote Jessica, "Jasper looks like he's always in pain". And I totally understand because he was new to the vegetarian family LOL
According to the book, Jasper has the ability to manipulate the emotions of those around him and since he can feel the emotion of his prey, he decided to turn into vegetarian.

Next we went for food hunting and after lots of pain and sweat, we finally, OK MJ finally decided to go for Tony Roma's. I didn't know what to order so end up with Chicken Tenderloin platter. It was full with french fries and about 5 or 6 pieces of fried chicken, a small cup of cole slaw and a small cup of honey mustard . It was errr...NOT NICE!!! Felt like puking for trying to stuff everything into my pitiful stomach.

This trip, no ice-cream again. A record eh =)

We left MV by 10ish and Jon had a chance to see how I become insane when chatting with some people in msn. He had a place to sleep and it was not on my bed, it was on another bed (This sentence is for you WH). He being the scardy cat managed to avoid talking to mom LOL and I am so sleepy now because it has been a month since I last woke up at 6am!!!

Going out with Van and ballet teacher, then teach tuition then ballet...busy day and it's a good busy day ^^
