Ban Sri Petaling's Kam Lun Tai!!!!!

Went to my cousin sister's wedding dinner at Sri Petaling's Kam Lun Tai.

PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE FOOD!!!!!

The food there SUCKS!!!!! Seriously, worst food ever!!!! I rather stay hungry than consume anything served after tasting each dish. Notice, tasted not ate!!!

4 season was ok,
shark fin was like eating flour,
piglet and duck was SO FAT (not that I eat it, my god, eating piglet is so cruel!!!),
fish was so pathetic,
prawns was the only edible food,
vegetable was normal but insufficient for all of us,
fried rice was the only food that can fill the stomach yet it was insufficient (again!!)
and lastly dessert which took them 35 minutes to serve!!!!!!!

Seriously, if you want to treat someone dinner yet you don't like that person, bring them to this place, Sri Petaling's Kam Lun Tai!!!

SERVICE SUCKS TOO!!!!!! Let's begin with the front part where they take the first dish out. Usually there will be a small formation/ performance where they walk out elegantly in darkness with only light coming from the dish that has a candle or something in the middle of the dish and stand on the stage with the spotlight on them, then only strut to their respective table serving the food. This Kam Lun Tai, my gawd, music was like on for about 3 minutes? only the waiters started to walk out and there was no spotlight, nothing. The next thing we know, lights were on and food was on the table. Help yourself was written all over the waiter's face.

Next, they have this rule where they change the plate after EVERY dish and it's so annoying!!! You haven't finish yet they are walking all around you collecting plates and all and then stand beside you waiting to finish. AND the waiters are all about my age or younger so they have sucky serving skills. The waiter for my table spilled almost a bowl of shark fin on the table and they way he pour the shark fin soup into the bowl is like "Nah, eat this and hope you'll choke" attitude. STUPID!!!!!

Then, they always fill up your cup of tea. Understandable but NOT when you are taking the food and they just pour your neightbour's cup of tea over your hand. Can't they be patient? Wait for a few seconds before you do your job cannot ah? Let your rest cannot ah? BUT NOOooo, must do it no matter what (even if the hot tea spilled and burn your hand when you take the food). So Professional....my foot!!! It's a miracle my mother kept her mouth shut.

Never mind, they are just kids, forgive their stupidity. It's tolerable until the chef from the kitchen wearing T-Shirt with holes serving the front table because most of the waiters decided to play MIA. Even that chef was a little angry. Did I talk about the plate-changing rule? Apparently it changes towards the end. The new rule was, change the plates that you can reach, those at the far end, let them call another waiter or let them wait. How efficient they were and the waiter still has the guts to stick out his damned tongue acting sorry and cute at the same time. If he was a gal, I'll be even more pissed but well, I'll close BOTH OF MY EYES!!!

I haven't touch the MC for this wedding. He was a boy, A BOY!!!! I'll give him a benefit of doubt, I think he might be about my age too. So he was practically reading from a paper what to say and stuff and he can't make the environment lively. Usually when the bride and bridegroom goes up to the stage, the MC will ask us to clap or say something to catch everyone's attention but when the 2 "Raja Sehari" went to the stage, it was so quiet!!!! I clapped but none followed so I stopped. This wedding dinner is just SOOOOOO badly organised!!! Sad....

SERIOUSLY, NEVER STEP FOOD AT THIS PLACE --SRIPETALING'S KAM LUN TAI!!!!!!

ps: Did I mention that the dessert took them 35 minutes??!!!!
